📋 STC Library Rules & Regulations
Please follow these guidelines to ensure a pleasant learning environment for everyone.
Note: These are general library guidelines. In case of any dispute, the official rules of STC Library and the decisions of the Librarian shall prevail.
🪪 Membership & Access
- ✔️ Library membership is open to eligible students and staff.
- ✔️ Carry your College ID/Library card while using library services.
- ✔️ Membership is non-transferable.
📚 Borrowing Rules
- ✔️ Borrow books only with a valid library account.
- ✔️ Return or renew books on or before the due date.
- ✔️ Reserved books are issued according to the reservation queue.
🤝 Library Conduct
- ✔️ Maintain silence inside the library.
- ✔️ Switch mobile phones to silent mode.
- ✔️ Food and drinks are not permitted.
- ✔️ Handle books, journals and furniture with care.
⚠️ Loss & Damage
- ✔️ Report the loss of a book immediately.
- ✔️ Lost or damaged books must be replaced or compensated as per library rules.
- ✔️ Do not underline, mark or fold library books.
💻 Digital Resources
- ✔️ Use OPAC, DSpace and subscribed e-resources responsibly.
- ✔️ Access e-resources only for academic purposes.
- ✔️ Observe copyright and license conditions.
🏛 General Information
- ✔️ Follow instructions given by library staff.
- ✔️ Keep personal belongings safely.
- ✔️ The Librarian's decision is final in matters relating to library administration.
